General Information

The East Asia Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Workshop (EAMAE) is an annual conference organized in rotation by top universities with aerospace engineering departments from Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, and Hong Kong. These universities include Korea University (South Korea), Hokkaido University (Japan), The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and National Cheng Kung University (Taiwan). The primary goal of the symposium is to promote academic exchange in mechanical and aerospace engineering among these institutions. Each university participates by forming a delegation consisting of professors and graduate students

Before the pandemic, nine editions of the symposium had been successfully held, with a steady increase in the number of participants from each institution. In 2018 and 2019, the conference reached nearly 100 participants. The 2020 symposium was originally scheduled to be hosted by the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics at National Cheng Kung University for the third time; however, it was postponed due to the ongoing pandemic

It was decided to resume the symposium after discussions among the four universities in early 2024. It will take place from November 21 to 24, 2024, at the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics, National Cheng Kung University. The symposium aims to continue fostering academic research and technological education exchange between faculty and students in the aerospace field across East Asia
